A week-long journey in the Spotlight, where every moment shone

We are beyond proud to announce that Bay Dance Collective made an incredible impact at The Spotlight Dance Cup National Finals, held from July 6 through 12, bringing home top honors across multiple divisions and age groups. From Novice to Elite, our dancers took the stage with passion, precision, and hearts full of dedication — and the results speak for themselves.

The highlight of our week came from our Teens Large Group with their performance of Pink Ladies in the Elite Gems division. Going up against the strongest teams in the most competitive Teen age group at Nationals, our dancers delivered a show-stopping routine that earned them a Diamond rating, National Category 1st Place in Hip Hop, and the ultimate honor — National Champion. This win was no small feat. It took countless hours of rehearsals, last-minute adjustments, and an unwavering belief in each other to make it happen.

Beyond the championship, our dancers collected an impressive array of awards across all levels. Future Gems brought home multiple Top Overall placements, including 2nd Overall for Swan Lake (Petite Large Group) and Category 1st plus 3rd Overall for Butterfly (Petite Duo/Trio). Our Petite Solo Chaplin captivated the judges, earning Category 1st and the What Makes You Unique Award, while Goliath (Teens Duo/Trio) took home 6th Overall and the Good Morning Award. Every routine, from Diamond to Ruby, reflected the heart and hard work of our dancers.

The entire week of Nationals was a celebration of resilience, artistry, and family. To our dancers — you didn't just perform; you owned every moment. To our parents and families — thank you for your endless support. And to everyone who believes in what we do — this is only the beginning.
